Just keeping it simple...

For those of you who know how I work, you know that I tend to overly complicate a composition. The chaos of intersecting images and strong detail throughout the piece is what interest me. I love detail! Well, I came up with a few pieces that are a little less complicated in order to create a good balance in the series. I am currently working on one of those paintings right now. I am not done yet but I thought that I would post my progress.

I have washed the board with a blue acrylic, that is the uneven color that is behind her. Her face and body are the only areas that I have painted in oil so far.

I loosely painted her reflection and the water around her.

My last step... I blocked in a foggy mountainside for the background.  I am excited for this layer to dry so I can start adding some definition/detail... the fun part!

Talk to you soon!

Its about time you do something simple! Though, its technically complicated with how you work. So you can just send that to me whenever you'd like =0) Great work!
