Progress!

This piece is taking a little longer than I had hoped... it is a larger size than what I usually work and I think I got a little carried away with the coral. I am still trying to get my first layer of oil down on the whole canvas (trying to cover the blue areas) but I am almost there. This is always the part that takes the longest. When I start to add detail the process tends to speed up.  After the first layer is down I will go back and work on the fins and then work around the canvas giving everything more dimension.
